About
My Proofreading Story

I work as a freelance proofreader available for a variety of proofreading needs. I received certification from Proofread Anywhere after completing their course General Proofreading: Theory & Practice in October 2024. Having previously completed a master's thesis in theology, I specialize in academic and theological papers and content. I trained as a hospital chaplain, however, now with two small children, I am looking to return to work with greater flexibility in my schedule. I've loved reading since picking up Charlotte's Web in first grade, so proofreading is a good fit, especially because I am usually finding typos in the newsletters and news articles that I read. My favorite fiction writers have been L.M. Montgomery, Agatha Christie, Dorothy L. Sayers, and more recently, Ann Napolitano. I have two bachelor’s degrees in Humanities and French, which gives me conversance in a range of disciplines: English, Philosophy, History, Art, and foreign language. I also worked as a writing advisor to fellow students in college. I look forward to being a new set of eyes on your writing to put the finishing polish on your work.
